Below is a step-by-step guide on how to make the Front plate gasket for a single pass gasketed plate and frame heat exchanger.
STEP 1:
Ensure you have a normal Transfer heat exchanger plate
Two gaskets
STEP2:
Cut the two gaskets in half as shown in the photo along side
Gasket 1: Do not cut off the clip-on tags
Gasket 2: Cut off the clip-on tags
Step 3:
Clip the one-half gasket to the plate
On the second half of the plate – apply a bead of glue in the gasket groove on the plate, as shown in the picture alongside.
Step 4:
Place the second-half on the glued side, making sure it aligns nicely in the plates groove.
STEP 5:
Apply uniform pressure on the glued gasket and wait for glue to dry/cure.
